What Words Are You Using?

Each day you begin a new day with new choices

Words, like nature, half reveal and half conceal the soul within.

When the holiday season arrives we can find ourselves feeling stressed and overwhelmed by obligations, priorities, finances and more. There is a great article on this site I follow "The Goal Chaser" about the power of "Positive Words" and actually provides you a list of positive words to consider using on a regular basis.

This month I am going to select words from this list to blog about. If you have words you use often and would like to share the impact of those words in your life please let us know. We would love to feature a story from one of our readers.

I am going to use "Determine" and this quote really represents a great example of the word.

Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you.

Carl Sandburg

de·ter·mine /dəˈtərmən/ verb: cause (something) to occur in a particular way; be the decisive factor in.

We make choices almost as often as we have a thought. These choices determine the outcomes of our lives. Additionally, there are factors outside of our control that also contribute to outcomes in our lives.

However, how we respond to life regardless of our circumstances ultimately determines if life is taking us somewhere or if we are going somewhere with our lives. It becomes easy to find limitations, to put off the work that must be done in order to reach the potential and opportunity we all strive for.

Have you let situations determine where are you are? or Are you using those situations to determine where you want to go?

Please share your thoughts on the word "determine" or any other words you use to stay positive.
