Is Action A Verb Or A Noun To You?

Nature is constantly in action unless it is dead

"An idea not coupled with action will never get any bigger than the brain cell it occupied." ~ Arnold H Glasow

How many ideas have you been bouncing around and even talking about and considering, yet never taking any action?

Mahatma Gandhi said "It's the action, not the fruit of the action, that's important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there will be any fruit. But that doesn't mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result."

Too, often we allow an action to be something we talk about doing (noun: person, place or thing) yet it isn't something we actually act on.

If you look around you right now you will see countless results from your actions. You are reading this post on something you purchased or have at work. Yet, when it comes to our purpose and our dreams we put off taking action. There are countless opinions on why we do this. However, the reason only matters if you want to continue to not take action.

Instead, what if today you pick one thing you have started and not finished and for the next 27 days take action on that one thing.

Here is the question I am hoping my action will help me answer:

  • Can I grow my blog to determine if the lessons and observations I have made over the last half-century are worthy of sharing?

  • Would this information enable or allow others to move towards their own goals and change their lives?

  • Can what I have learned over the years about change enable others to start making changes?

What are the questions you want your action to answer for you?

Please share your feedback so we can all continue to learn and grow from each other.
