Today I am re-purposing a post I did a couple years ago. I hope you find it as inspiring as I still do.
I watched the Ted Talk below and found his message to be spot on. We have come to expect things to go according to plan, having the right tools for the right situations is expected even more now because we have so much information and access in the palm of our hand. Our mobile devices can connect us, inform us and update us. However there is this great quote by James Gray, "At a certain point, you have to kind of realize that greatness is a messy thing."
If you take a moment to reflect on your life and some of your proudest moments they may have very well came from moments when things actually didn't go as planned. You were forced to think outside the box to push against the system.
If you can, take a moment and watch this Ted Talk and share a time when the messy created an opportunity or a memorable moment in your life.
