Being Proactive When Change Happens Overnight!

Change requires us to navigate our mindset

I like to encourage people to realize that any action is a good action if it's proactive and there is positive intent behind it. ~ Michael J. Fox

“Don't be carried away by the current of the situation. Focus on the essentials, take action on the best alternative are the ways of shifting from reactive to proactive mindset.”

~ Amit Ray

When I was getting ready to write in my journal this evening I thought maybe it was time to return to writing this blog. The world has changed almost overnight. We worry about ventilators in hospitals, social distancing and if my company or work will survive this shift in the economy and what does work life look like in the next 90 days?

We had “CHANGE” thrust upon us all at once. We had no control over it and still live in the complete unknown of if and when a normal cadance will return to our daily lives. Many of us longed to work from home and now struggle with being home 24/7.

While all of this is beyond our control the quote above by Amit Ray reminds us, we still have the option of a proactive mindset. We can take a moment and seek some sense of gratitude for something, even the smallest moments in our lives. A breath, a breeze, a sunrise or a sunset.

The quote by Michael J Fox reminds us that positive intent is action we can take. Check in on a loved one, send a thank you card.

We spend our lives being busy and on the go, life has literally brought everything to a screeching halt.

There are nurses and doctors and other industries that are working endlessly to try and find a solution and return our lives to normal. So, now while life is on pause take a moment to be proactive about how you react to the new world we live in.

Seek out moments to discuss the positive of life and try not to be consumed by all the negative we are faced with in our current reality.

That is my focus and I hope this helped in some way.
